Japanese Hot Pot Sukiyaki!

Today on Cook with April my mother-in-law Susan shares her recipe for how to make Sukiyaki.  Sukiyaki is a Japanese hot pot style dish similar to Shabu Shabu where the vegetables and meat are cooked at the table in a soy sauce, sugar and mirin broth.  Enjoy 😀

Ingredients:
Napa cabbage
Shitake mushrooms
Lotus root
Bamboo shoots
Green onions
Enoki mushrooms
Konnyaku
Fish cakes
Shirataki noodles
Tofu
Sukiyaki beef
Shrimp
Foo

Rice (optional)

Simmer sauce:
1 cup soy sauce
4 tbsp sugar
2 cups water
1/2 cup mirin

1/2 cup extra sugar to taste
More water to taste
